The fact that Doug, Hilda, Percy, Ellen , Gertie and Maureen all moved to a new place to start over gives every single one of them a reason to be hopeful.
Ellen and Percy have a child one the way , away from all the mischief that happened to them in London. They also have their own cottage now.
Doug and Hilda have work , a cottage and a grandchild on the way.
Gertie and Maureen achieved their goal and opened the plant nursery and offered everyone jobs.
However , life can't stay perfect for too long or it would be a fairy tale. Sarah Ellen's few month old daughter, gets hit by a lorry and DIES.

Novel Part3 :) Ch, 20 - 30
- This novel is a very interesting one. Just when i expected it to continue with one boring incident BAM ! something else happens.
- The Death of Doug -- Hope lost for both Ellen and Hilda
- The vision of the old lady - Hope gained for Ellen , nothing for Hilda
- Bombing raids in the place where they're living - No time to have hope :P but , the idea that Hilda and Ellen were running to go to the shelter to save their lives implies that they both still have hope...Hope for a better life and that there is still something worth living for.
- Gertie offered Hilda and Ellen a cottage out of London in Hampshire - A bit of hope , maybe start a new life with Mabel joining them and Billy ( Ellen's crush) all living under the same roof things might turn out to be better than expected for Hilda
- The appearance of Doug ! - Well Hilda and Ellen's hopes can't be any higher ! Doug was still alive ! Honestly... I was happy to know that he was still alive , he's character added something nice to the story. And with Doug back laughter and joy filled the cottage after a long time of sadness and silence.
- Ellen still didn't get over the lady's vision , espicallyyy when it came true . Therefore , she went to a woman who can read stones and can tell the future. But , Ellen didn't really understand what sign was she talking about.
- Hilda's over protection of her child had led Ellen to go to other people to understand what happens in married life and all things her mom wouldn't tell her. I think there's a great lesson here as they say "Forbidden fruit is sweet " so nourishing your kid's minds isn't gna make them older but will make them experienced to face the world.
- Hilda went back to London after Mabel (when she heard her husband is wounded ) however , Hilda thinks that London is a cursed place with all the heart ache she had to go through over there ,yet she was willing to give it another shot. I don't think the place where you live has anything to do with what news you get. It's your destiny - if you're destined to get whatever new you'll get it wherever you are.
- Ellen's hopes were dashed when she couldn't get enough of Billy . He was always somewhere when she goes up to Mabel's flat. Haha if Ellen just knew the future she would kill Billy :)
- Good for Ellen that Billy went back to Hampshire :) And Hilda was now sure Gertie's feelings for here weren't real after meeting Maureen Gertie's friend ;)

Novel Part2 :) Chapters 3 - 10
Okay I honestly thought that the deadline is on February 5th so cut me some slack o:)
The novel was surprisingly interesting that I couldn't stop reading : |.
Anyway as I said before that there's something fishy about Gertie and she's obviously not straight. God she gets on my nerves when she keeps on repeating that they are a small family.
AND Hilda is in denial :@ She should do something about it already ! And Doug is a really nice guy (Y)
The novel's title ( Hope Never Dies ) is not only about that Ellen gives Hilda hope and all the good stuff and good friends they have.. It's also that : Gertie's hope that Hilda will notice her and they all can become one family. Hilda's hope that Doug will come back safe and sound and the war would end they ( Ellen , Doug and her ) can go back to London. Ellen's hope that she wouldn't have to go back to London and her dad would come back and they live happily ever with Gertie.
Now from there I see why is it called Hope Never dies. Just small little things could male someone survive a lot.
